The Izzet League is one of the three guilds that were introduced to the Magic community in the expansion set called Guildpact. It combines the forces of red and blue to create a truly unique guild of artificers and chronomancers, as well as some very powerful cards. The guild itself is ruled by the egomaniacal, frighteningly intelligent draconic parun, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. His favorite phrase is the flavor text of his card (Niv-Mizzet = #1).
