Modern RDW, like its cousins in other formats, uses gratuitous amounts of direct damage and aggressive creatures to quickly get opponents from 20 to 0 life. The vast majority of RDW are, as the name implies, mono-red, but a few splash black for Dark Confidant or Bump in the Night. RDW is a heavily dedicated aggro strategy.
