Withengar, or Withengar Unbound, is powerful demon lord from the plane Innistrad. He is infamous for slaying Saint Traft, among others. Once, his essence was imprisoned in a magical blade called Elbrus.

Prior to the events of the Innistrad set, the Skirsdag cultists led a monster slayer named Saint Traft into a trap. As a result, Traft inadvertently summoned Withengar and was killed in battle. The demon's victory did not last long, since Innistrad's angels vengefully attacked him and destroyed his physical body.
