Siren is a blue creature type used for cards that depict sea nymphs, who lure mariners to destruction by their seductive singing.

The subtype was introduced in Magic 2010 with the new card Alluring Siren, which has the typical ability to induce an attack by a target creature. However, the instant Siren's Call was heard as early as the Alpha set.
