Red Deck Wins is an aggro deck archetype that has recurred in various forms and at various times in Standard and most other formats as well. The theory behind it is just to play the most aggressive creatures and most efficient burn spells in the format to win as quick as possible. The deck is historically monored, but it has seen various splashes, such as green for Tarmogoyf, blue for more card advantage, or white in Extended for Lightning Helix.
The deck has become fairly popular in current Standard recently.
