Guild lands are lands from the Ravnica; each representing one of the ten guilds. There are three kinds of guild lands:

The common ones, the bounce lands or Karoo lands:

The uncommon ones, the "guildhome" lands; representing the headquarters of each of Ravnica's guilds, could be tapped for {1} and also had an activated ability whose cost included one mana of each of its guild's respective colors, tied to each guild's theme.
