Jacob Van Lunen is a Magic: The Gathering player who won Pro Tour San Diego 2007, along with 2HG partner Chris Lachmann.
Lachmann and Lunen were playing in their first Pro Tour and won the event primarily by drafting Slivers.
Among the players they defeated were Eugene Harvey, 2006 Rookie of the Year Sebastian Thaler, Hall of Famer Jon Finkel, and Hall of Famer Dave Humpherys.
Their wins with the help of Virulent Sliver are believed to be the first time in Pro Tour history anyone won a game with poison counters.
Jacob currently writes the Building on a Budget article for the Magic the Gathering website.
