*[[Cube Deck]]:
A variant that uses no lands, a gigantic library and as many players as possible. The cards used must have the ability to lead to complex rules situations that may be discussed at length before calling a general authority on the phone. This variant is higly social and is played slowly and talkative.
 
*[[Mental Magic]]:
A variant where the cards in hand may count as another card when played as long as the alternate card has exactly the same casting-cost.
 
*[[Playing with ordinary playingcards]]:
This variant uses ordinary playingcards to play games of magic. This is a way to introduce players to the overall spirit of the game without needing to buy any actual magic cards.
 
*PDC/[[Pauper Deck Challenge]]:
This is an unofficial format often played at magic online. Players are [[Playing with a handicap]] by using only [[Common]] cards in that game variant.
