| == Template:Infobox ability == | | ==Healing Grace vs. Healing Salve== |
| | I had initially put this pair on the card comparisons (or maybe was about to), but hesitated. Yes, Healing Grace is almost always preferable to Healing Salve, but only with the latter can you give other players life. Is that enough of an advantage, or an I nit-picking, similar to those fringe situations where you want a creature to be smaller and/or higher CMC, etc. I don’t know for sure. Something to consider. | | Hi! With all due respect, I trust you have a legitimate source for the W17 card numbers. I am interested in seeing it, mainly because my calculations show a minimum of 18 cards in order for the decks to be Standard even on release day. Here is the "bare minimum" list of required reprints I have come up with, which oddly includes 5 whites, 5 blues, 2 blacks, 1 red, and 5 greens: |

| == Rulings for new mechanics == | | ==IP blocks== |
| | Hello, Pcj here from the GRASP team. I noticed in the past you have used infinite global block to combat vandalism from IP addresses/users who aren't logged in. Per "Blocking users" on the help wiki, the standard for IP address blocks is two weeks, as IP addresses are dynamically assigned (and the smarter vandals/spambots use proxies/VPNs to show a false IP anyway). It would be preferable to only use two weeks, or short of that, at least make the block only local to this wiki. I'll be unblocking users whose blocks are past the two week limit. If there are any problems with that we can address them as they arise. Thank you. --Pcj (talk) 12:52, 22 September 2017 (UTC) |

| :: Could you make sure to add inline references in this case? I feel uncomfortable about unreferenced rulings - they could come from any random player who disagrees with a judge. I feel that "rulings" ought really to be restricted to official statements - other remarks about how they work are just remarks. I guess these qualify since Matt Tabak is Rules Manager, though. | == Protected edit request ==
| | Hi, |
| I took another tilt at the Template:Navbox today and it looks like (for very good security reasons) there's no way to force the appropriate style information directly into the template/module without a staggering amount of work to mentally unroll Wikipedia's CSS. Could we try adding it directly to MediaWiki:Common.css? The relevant code is as follows, and could be pasted anywhere outside of the curly brackets in the top half of the file. If this edit does what I'm hoping, the blurb at the top of Test about "Block settings/Other planes" should become a properly finished navigation footer. --Corveroth (talk) 23:54, 10 November 2015 (UTC) | | Re whether <c>Savage Smash</c> depicts Domri or not, I was thinking that the hair, left shoulder armor, and in general tattoos & clothing are matches for Domri, but the artist's model is substantially more muscular than on his Planeswalker cards... and the card specifically gives +2/+2 to the target creature, so beefing him up was intentional. That said, if you want to wait for an official statement from Wizards or the artist as to whom it is, I'm not going to object. : ) 193.37.252.140 17:36, 8 January 2019 (UTC) |

| :: Template:Navbox is a useful template for consistent navboxes, borrowed straight from Wikipedia. MediaWiki:Common.css is one of the major stylesheets governing the appearance of this website, and because it's so important and universal, it's protected. Our copy of the navbox template is broken, largely because Wikipedia has style rules that our Common.css is lacking. The above line of code, copied in its entirety, should contain the style rules necessary to make the navbox template mostly functional (and it's highly specific, so it won't touch anything outside of that template: note all of the references to ".navbox" and ".navbar"). So, I'm asking that you add that line of code to Common.css. As long as it's pasted outside of existing curly brackets, nothing else will be effected. --Corveroth (talk) 06:19, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

| ::::: One more chunk! This should govern the appearance of individual rows within the navboxes. | == CSS class for column-count for lists ==
| | So, I know it says that the promo 1/8 for 2016 is unknown/unreleased, but it was supposed to be Stoneforge Mystic. It got pulled to replace a GP promo that was for whatever reason pulled. |
|
| |
|
| I don't know if you are the right person for that, but while searching for better ways to style this, List, | | I managed to acquire a copy marked as a Judge promo rather than a GP promo (not sure how to provide picture here), in case proof is needed that it was at one point a Judge promo. |
| the place where the card list is split in three columns, i did come to the css style column-count,
| |
| the problem is that i cant use it there because it does need to applied to the ul element which is auto-generated by the list.
| |
| so my request: add the following block to the CSS of the side and i can use classes to make that dynamic.
| |
|
| |
|
| <pre>
| | My question is, would it be appropriate to make a note of that on the Judge Gift page? The RoguePyro (talk) 12:36, 15 January 2019 (UTC) |
| .ul-column-count-3 > ul {
| | : Sure, go ahead. That seems to be relevant. You can provide a picture with "upload file". --Hunter (talk) 16:44, 15 January 2019 (UTC) |
| -webkit-column-count: 3; /* Chrome, Safari, Opera */
| |
| -moz-column-count: 3; /* Firefox */
| |
| column-count: 3;
| |
| }
| |
| </pre>
| |
| so i can add "ul-column-count-3" as class to the td and it does style the ul element with the card list.

| ::::: We do have access to Lua via the Scribunto extension, so we could certainly implement something similar. Would you like me to build such a module? What's your plan for it? --Corveroth (talk) 18:54, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

| :::::: My idea was to display strings like {W} from the comprehensive rules with W. You can do this for every single sting, or you write a regular expression for this. But perhaps the pure form is prefered? - Yandere Sliver 21:20, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
| |
| ::::::: I considered doing so when I implemented the module that now underlies the CR template. As you're aware, it's a trivial technical task. I opted not to for the sake of pure quotation of the source material, in order to reinforce that those text representations are fully canonical. I have some ideas I'll mull over - in the meantime, feel free to offer feedback over at Module_talk:CR. --Corveroth (talk) 23:27, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

| == New bot users ==

| It seems each day there are a bunch of new users created by some bot. How can this be stopped? --Tuamir (talk) 16:56, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

| : I wish I knew :-) They don't seem to edit, though --Hunter (talk) 19:26, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
| |
| ::I don't know how this works. Is the bot a code situated in some page in the wiki? Or is the bot something exterior of the wiki? If is the later, it could mean that the conditions to registry a new user are weak and easy to be automatized from another place.--Tuamir (talk) 21:41, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
| |
| ::: We've been chatting about this on the forums. The registration is a few levels above our head (Gamepedia, or perhaps Mediawiki), but for now, we're safe for the reasons discussed in that thread. So long as that holds, there's no impact beyond a bit of noise in the recent changelog, which is perfectly tolerable. --Corveroth (talk) 22:38, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

| == Hanweir ==
| |
| | |
| now that Hanweir becomes a legendary creature, would it make sense for it to finally have its own page where the info about it is collected (with slightly removing it from other pages)? and if it gets a own page, where should be put it in Innistrad? is it still a Location and should be a sub-entry in Nearheath, or should it be listed in Characters or both? --Hanmac (talk) 18:24, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
| |
| : If you think you can expand on the available info, go ahead. For categories sake it would be both a character and a location, I think. For the template, I would choose "other" :-) --Hunter (talk) 03:04, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
| |
| : Well I think it could become its own page. It is not a location anymore... It is a character. More or less... I think Nearheath should definitely mention Hanweir. But seriously, we have enough pages with less information. - Yandere Sliver 19:23, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

Healing Grace vs. Healing Salve
BlackDiamondDragon (talk) 15:43, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
Gatherer Update Monkey vs Ape
Gatherer did updated, now it should have Kaladesh cards. But i don't have a summary yet.
and the Big change is that because Monkey is back, there are some cards changed. (and Monkey needs its own page again i think) --Hanmac (talk) 12:26, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- Oh god, the German translation will be so awkward because both are translated into the same word "Affe". Well on that note silver-bordered cards were not updated, but the black border cards indeed were. - Yandere Sliver 16:42, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- there is no Problem, "Ape" as Magic Creature Type is translated as "Menschenaffe" to differ it from the "Affe" for Monkey --Hanmac (talk) 09:26, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

Card numbers
Hi! With all due respect, I trust you have a legitimate source for the W17 card numbers. I am interested in seeing it, mainly because my calculations show a minimum of 18 cards in order for the decks to be Standard even on release day. Here is the "bare minimum" list of required reprints I have come up with, which oddly includes 5 whites, 5 blues, 2 blacks, 1 red, and 5 greens:
- C Divine Verdict
- C Glory Seeker
- C Standing Troops
- C Stormfront Pegasus
- R Victory's Herald
- U Air Elemental
- C Coral Merfolk
- C Inspiration
- C Stealer of Secrets
- C Tricks of the Trade
- C Bloodhunter Bat
- C Raise Dead
- C Thundering Giant
- R Garruk's Horde
- C Rootwalla
- C Stalking Tiger
- C Stampeding Rhino
- U Wing Snare

- If W16 is a good bench mark then the welcome decks contain Kaladesh, Aether Revolt, Amonkhet and W17 cards. If the Amonkhet card list from the article is complete - which I think is the case -, every card which is not part of Kaladesh, Aether Revolt or in the list is likely to be W17 card. That is just my interpretation of what we know so far. - Yandere Sliver 21:57, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
IP blocks
Thank you. --Pcj (talk) 12:52, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
Savage Smash
Hi,
Re whether Savage Smash depicts Domri or not, I was thinking that the hair, left shoulder armor, and in general tattoos & clothing are matches for Domri, but the artist's model is substantially more muscular than on his Planeswalker cards... and the card specifically gives +2/+2 to the target creature, so beefing him up was intentional. That said, if you want to wait for an official statement from Wizards or the artist as to whom it is, I'm not going to object. : ) 193.37.252.140 17:36, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
- His, sorry about the the non-communication. I really don't think it is Domri, but rather a random Gruul berserker. The haircut seems to be in vogue. But as you say, we can always add it again if there is an official source corroborating your view. --Hunter (talk) 05:31, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
Judge Promo 2016
So, I know it says that the promo 1/8 for 2016 is unknown/unreleased, but it was supposed to be Stoneforge Mystic. It got pulled to replace a GP promo that was for whatever reason pulled.
I managed to acquire a copy marked as a Judge promo rather than a GP promo (not sure how to provide picture here), in case proof is needed that it was at one point a Judge promo.
My question is, would it be appropriate to make a note of that on the Judge Gift page? The RoguePyro (talk) 12:36, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Sure, go ahead. That seems to be relevant. You can provide a picture with "upload file". --Hunter (talk) 16:44, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
English revision required
Hi mate! Happy I can help a bit other players. Probably someone native English should review my text blocks I think :)
I have started adding links and references, but it will take some time I think, checking all the linked pages and the board-game wiki too.
Let me know if I'm doing something wrong, not really expert with the wikia interface yet :) Have a nice week end!
- You're doing fine. And by the way, I'm not a native English speaker either :-) --Hunter (talk) 16:27, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
Profile's problem
Sorry if I bother you, but I have serious problems with my profile: it says "A global user by that name was not found", and I can't see my achievements, my friends, and other stuffs. How did this happen? How can I fix it? --LordChaos000 (talk) 18:33, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not a technical guy, but there seem to be some memory issues after the latest update. Lets wait a while to see if it autocorrects. --Hunter (talk) 20:06, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
-- Thanks a lot --LordChaos000 (talk) 08:37, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
Canon
Canon can't become canon unless people know about it. My hope is that by documenting all that *could* become canon that future authors will recognize it as such. Bob the WikipediaN (talk • contribs) 16:01, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- But in light of your concern I will hold off before adding anything else. Bob the WikipediaN (talk • contribs) 16:03, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
