Chase Rare is Magic slang for any card (rare or uncommon usually) that are highly pursued on the secondary market due to power and playability. Some of the more famous chase rares include Tarmogoyf, Umezawa's Jitte, and the Power Nine. Chase rares fetch very high prices on the secondary market, up to $2,000, and are valued by condition.
