Oliver Tiu is a former American professional player, and is currently an associate game designer for Magic: The Gathering at Wizards of the Coast.

Professional play

He was the 2015–16 Rookie of the Year, a season during which he finished 13th at back-to-back Pro Tours, and made it to the top eight of two Grand Prix events. He also competed in the 2015 Magic Online Championship Series, where he finished tenth. In addition to being the 2015–16 Rookie of the Year, he also won the Constructed Master title, and as such earned an invitation to the 2016 World Championship, where he finished third. After a quiet 2016–17 season, he finished in the top eight of six Grand Prix events in the 2017–18 season, the most of any player.
