Mazik is a Joraga Elf that grew up in the same village as Nissa.[1]
History
Mazik accompanied Nissa on her quest from her village, with the approval of her mother.[1] He witnessed her newfound connection to Zendikar, and they were able to follow the trail of leylines leading them away from their village. Nissa and Mazik journeyed together toward the mountains of Akoum. Underway, the pair had to cross a swamp, where they were attacked by vampires. To save Mazik's life from the attackers, Nissa instinctively summoned Ashaya for the first time.
