  • curprev 16:0716:07, 4 June 2023>Jerodast 13,541 bytes +3 this example is actually an exact match to the situation described in the first point, but the newly added point is not correct - being transformed is not copied, it is a state change applied WHILE a copy is in effect, and retained even after the copy ends.

Based on discussions about Double team and related mechanics, I am 95% sure about not duplicating copiable values of objects but simply going off a "name lookup" of the card being duplicated. Several HBG cards duplicate nontoken permanents and could be used to test this, but tbh I've lost interest in spending time investigating digital mechanics.

  • curprev 08:0208:02, 29 March 2023>Jerodast 12,976 bytes +43 There are effectively 3 types of effect even though the card entering the battlefield was an object before. Rephrased the "changing existing object" clause to "change into a copy" rather than "change to become a copy" since the removal of the comma that used to be there made it ambiguous whether the "or" was a conjunction with "change" or "become". Note that oxford commas are more suited for complex constructions, which many magic rules are.
