Prints Charming was a drop in the experimental Secret Lair Chaos Vault product range and a continuation of the alternate art Secret Lair Drop Series. It became available for purchase from the Wizards of the Coast webshop secretlair.wizards.com on February 2, 2026[2] and sold out within four hours.[3]

Description

Prints Charming was a single drop of four reprints with alternate woodblock-inspired art as a nod to Lorwyn-Shadowmoor's ever-shifting world. Each of the four cards were green and had a reference to Forests. The drop was available in both foil and non-foil options.[2] For the drop, Wizards of the Coast experimented with a novel pricing model; Both the foil and non-foil Prints Charming drops were given five different price points, with no differences in the contents of the drop.

Chaos Vault is where we like to try new approaches to how a Secret Lair drop is offered. This time, you're going to see a lot of the same drop at a lot of different prices. This is very much on purpose; we promise! All Prints Charming listings, including non-foil and foil editions, offer the same drop at every price point. The only difference between listings is the price, and higher-priced options do not include anything extra.

— Wizards of the Coast, announcement article. [2]

Customers were able to buy the drop at any of the five price points but were limited to only purchasing one drop per price point (for a maximum of ten drops in total).[4] While the price points were outlined in the official drop announcement, no mention of the purchase limits were made prior to the transaction process on the webshop. While not public knowledge at the time, Lindsey Bartell would later reveal that 50% of the drop's stock was allocated to the price points under $29.99 for non-foil and $39.99 for foil, 45% were allocated to the $29.99/$39.99 price point, and 5% were allocated to the top two price points.[5][6]

Bonus cards

As an extra, the drops come with one of five surprise bonus cards that are borderless basic lands with Art Nouveau-style alternate art by Alexander Khabbazi.[7] Occasionally the regular bonus card is replaced by alternate art Slime Against Humanity with art by Ashley Dreyfus.

Reception

The contents of the drop received mixed reviews, with the low secondary market value of the cards noted as strike against while all four cards being well played staples being a mark in favor.[8] The pricing model caused confusion among collectors.[3][8][9][10]

The cheapest priced drops sold out first, followed by the most expensive.[3] The $29.99 non-foil and the $39.99 foil drops remained on sale for a further two hours, before selling out.
