Flavor Draft is a casual limited Magic: The Gathering Draft format where players build their opponent's card pool. It is drafted and played as normal, except for the fact that in-game flavor trumps the written text of the cards.[1][2]
On most Magic cards, the mechanics mesh incredibly well with the flavor. This is not always the case, though. Even the most evocative cards face flavor issues from time to time.[3] This is remedied by Flavor Draft.
Whenever something happens that they think doesn't make sense flavor-wise, they call over a judge (known as a Flavor Judge) to rule on whether something can happen. If the flavor judge doesn't rule that it makes flavor sense, the action or effect is stopped. [4]
