Stick is a nickname for Isochron Scepter. A card imprinted on Isochron Scepter is said to be "on a stick". A Counterspell on a stick is sometimes referred to as a "no-stick".

"Stick" is also used when a certain spell or ability (such as Cursed Scroll) is reprinted on a creature. In this case, Magus of the Scroll. The name for such cards is often a reference to the original spell or ability. Example: "Sower of Temptation is Control Magic on a stick."
