The Bloodline Project was a large project of genetic engineering set up by Urza to create perfect warriors against Phyrexia. It created the Metathran soldiers, who had been mutated beyond humanity, as well as a group of humans and humanoids at the peak of their strength, agility, intelligence, etcetera.
