Grakmaw was a massive hydra horror that lurked for centuries in the shadows of a fallen Skyclave on Jwar Isle in Ondu, Zendikar.

History

Completely blind due to living in complete darkness, the hydra's other senses were extremely sensitive. Grakmaw fed primarily on the giant centipedes and other insects that skittered about the corridors.

When the Skyclaves rose once again, Grakmaw discovered a new source of food — adventuring parties. The few adventurers that survived the climb to the entrance that Grakmaw guarded never seemed to find the exit.[1]

Grakmaw was killed by Anowon who used a potion made by the ancient Kor which turned the hydra into stone.[2]
